:new: 15 Jul 2015 - Please check out our latest batch of Marwari imports. Draw-to-adopt, have a look here.

15 Sep 2014 - The CES achievement point system tweaked:
I've just increased a couple of the values: Grand-parents are now worth 1pt instead of 0.5pt each; Pictures by other artists are now worth 2pt each instead of 0.5pt, due to the consideration that training and competing under previous ownership should have a consistent value if a horse is sold. Feel free to re-submit your horses if you feel that these changes have made a significant impact on their point count. However if your horse has already received an achievement certificate from this group, you should wait until they reach another level in the point system before I make you a new certificate.

16 August 2014 - Activity increase:
oxpecker is back from her hiatus and is currently plotting ways to make this group more active.

1/03/12 - CES mini show:
Check out our new exclusively curly-eared First Anniversary mini show - Ends May 1 2012.

22/02/12 - Pushkar Fair over; CES Finest point system introduced; New Marwari-Kathiawari breed show:
As most of you know, our Pushkar Fair is now over and the winners have been announced. The CES now has an achievement point system. Participation is completely optional. The last time I proposed the idea of an award system there was a lack of sizeable response. Simultaneously I was looking at the question though a personal movement away from competitive attitudes which at the time I believed were detracting from the game’s ingenuity. Honestly the choice should be yours! Also be sure to check out FadingMemoriees' Marwari/Kathiawari-only Celebrate the Curly-Eared show - Ends April 1 2012.

9/07/11 - Pushkar Fair Competition announced:
See here for details, ends December 1, 2011.

3/04/11 - New colour confirmed:
The sooty/smutty gene has been added to the accepted colors list.

23/02/11 - New colour confirmed:
The pangare/mealy gene has been added to the accepted colors list, once again thanks to Ehetere's investigations. Since the foundation of this group we have determined that Marwaris come in a rainbow of unexpected colours and it pleases me immensely.

10/02/11 - Fantasy horses now accepted; New colour confirmed:
Fantasy Marwaris/Kathiawaris are now welcome in the gallery and group shows. Roan has also been added to the accepted colors list, thanks to evidence provided by Ehetere.

7/02/11 - New colours confirmed; Marwari adoptables encouraged; Future show ideas:
There have been a few adjustments to the "Accepted Marwari colors" on the Breed info page. Thanks to research conducted by Ehetere and some great advice from SilmesDragonStable I have been able to tidy up the list and include the flaxen, splash white and dominant white genes. Pearl, mealy and silver have been completely rejected.

I probably don't need to remind anyone of this, but there is still a grave shortage of Marwaris active within HARPG. The creation of new Marwari stock will serve to increase awareness and hopefully interest in the breed's unique characteristics. I highly encourage Marwari adoptions and auctions in the hope that their new owners will represent the breed well.

Once the breed has found a substantial following, I would love to run a Marwari-exclusive show (of course supplied with prizes). Tent pegging, endurance racing, costume parades and traditional Marwari dancing events are just a few ideas for future shows run by this group. Feel free to leave a comment/note if you'd like to brainstorm some more ideas with me.
